Monthly Cleaning:
1. Perform the daily cleaning steps 1-3.
2. Place a drop of liquid soap on the inside near each set of cutters. (Diagram K)
3. Brush the soap around vigorously with the supplied cleaning brush. (Diagram L)
4. Add a small amount of water to the cutters.
5. Replace the foil assembly. (Diagram M)
6. Turn on the shaver for approximately 30 seconds.
7. While the shaver is running, rinse the foils under running water. (Diagram N)
8. Turn off shaver.
9. Remove foil assembly.
10. Rinse cutters and foil assembly thoroughly. (Diagram O)
11. Shake off excess water.
12. Replace foil assembly. (Diagram M)
13. Allow shaver to dry before next use.
NOTE: Lubricate teeth of trimmer with oil every six months.
REPLACING YOUR HEADS & CUTTERS
It is very important to replace your head and cutters when necessary to ensure a close,
comfortable shave without irritation. We recommend they be replaced every 6 months. Here are
some signs of head and cutter wear, indicating that replacement is needed:
• Irritation: As foils get worn, you may experience skin irritation. As the foils become excessively
worn you may experience some skin irritation or redness.
• Pulling: As the cutters wear, your shaver may not feel as close and you may feel your cutter
pulling your hair.
• Wear through: You may notice that the cutters have worn through the foils.
Replacement heads & cutters may be obtained from your local retailer, or directly from
Remington®. Simply fill out the enclosed accessory order form or alternatively your order can
be processed over the phone via the Remington® Service Hotline.
STORAGE
When not in use, always unplug the power adaptor from the power outlet. Never wrap the cord
of the power adaptor around the unit as this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break.
Handle the cord carefully for long life and avoid jerking, twisting or straining especially at the
power plug. If the cord becomes twisted in use, periodically straighten it.
