Notes About AF Area Mode
When digital zoom is in effect, the camera focuses on the area in the center of the frame
regardless of the AF area mode setting.
This function may not be available to use in combination with other functions (A76).
Using the Menu
The Shooting Menu (j, k, l, or m Mode)
Use this function to take pictures of
moving subjects. Register the
subject on which the camera
focuses. The focus area
automatically moves to track the
subject. See "Using Subject
Tracking" (A139) for more
information.
When the camera detects the main
subject, it focuses on that subject.

(A70).
