MR. STEAM AUTOFLUSH SYSTEM MS 81500S
The Autoflush feature automatically drains the Mr. Steam system following each
use. The stainless steel tank is flushed and remains empty until it is used again.
A built-in time delay relay allows the water to cool down before it drains resulting
in a safe and gentle operation.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Plumbing to be performed by a qualified plumber and shall be in accordance with
applicable national and local codes. Unit drains by gravity. A drain line that is
lower than the Autoflush assembly must be available .The Autoflush valve outlet
is threaded 1/2" NPT.
CAUTION!! To prevent possible electric shock shut power off at panel box
before removing steam generator cover.
1) Using plumbing provided connect Autoflush valve end 'A' to ball valve.
Connect valve end 'B' to drain. ( Note: valve ends 'A' and 'B' are indicated on
bottom of Autoflush valve).
2) Remove knock-out in jacket and connect BX terminal.
3) Remove double stick tape from cube shaped relay ( PN 103583 ) and mount
on panel as shown. ( Note: Relay should be mounted two inches from panel
edges ).
4) Connect cube shaped relay and Autoflush valve leads to terminal block as
shown in wiring diagram.
5) Open ball valve ( handle must be aligned with brass nipple ).
Replace cover, securing it with screws, and restore power. To check Autoflush
operation disconnect the blue wire from the cube shaped relay and observe
drainage from ball valve.
SWEAT FITTINGS
When using sweat fittings use only tin base solder with a melting point below 600
degrees F. Do not overheat. Ends of water supply tubing must be thoroughly
clean for a minimum distance of (1") from ends. Do not remove valve cover.
