Please read through these operating Instructions so you will know how to
operate your model properly.
WARNING
• Adjust headphones sound to the proper volume. Loud sound may
damage your ears.
• For traffic safety, never use the headphones while riding a bicycle,
motor bike, or while driving a car. It is dangerous to increase the sound
volume too much because you cannot hear external sounds; take great
care about traffic around you.
• This unit should not be used by persons who have heart pacemakers
installed, since adverse affects could occur.
• Do not use this unit in hospitals or clinics, or near medical equipment.
• Do not use inside airplanes or in the vicinity of automatic doors to avoid
danger of causing malfunctions.
CAUTION
• Never inspect the inside OR remodel this machine. This device
includes high-voltage internal parts, and contacting them could result
in fire or electrical shock. If the customer remodels this machine,
PIONEER will no longer guarantee its performance.

Precautions for use

• When removing the earphones from your ears grasp the main ear-
phones directly and do not pull the cord. Pulling the cord may result in
broken wires and malfunction.
• Do not subject the headphones to strong forces or impacts, since dam-
age could occur to the exterior appearance or product performance.
• When headphones are dirty, wipe with a dry, soft cloth. Take care not to
blow into the speaker unit.
• If the earphone tips become dirty, remove them from the main ear-
phone body and wash in a dilute mixture of neutral detergent. Air dry
thoroughly before reattaching.
• The earphone tips and ear pad will degrade over long periods of use or
storage. In this event consult your dealer.
• If any itching or skin discomfort occurs during use, cease use
immediately.
• This product is not edible. Place out of reach of small children to
prevent accidental ingestion of small parts.
• If any of the following symptoms appear, immediately cease use of the
headphones, turn power to OFF, and consult your Pioneer Service Center:
– The headphones exhibits unnatural heating, smells, deformation,
discoloration, etc.
– A foreign object enters the headphones.
• In very dry environments, static electricity accumulated in the human
body may cause tiny shocks to be felt at the ears.
