Quick Start Guide
Only an experienced technician should carry out the installation of ACE-3105,
ACE-3205. If you are familiar with ACE-3105, ACE-3205, use this quick guide to
prepare the unit for operation.
1.

Determine the required configuration of ACE-3105, ACE-3205, according to
your application (for a typical application configuration, see
•
Connect the user/network ports as required for the application.
•
Connect the ASCII terminal to the RS-232 control port.
•
Connect power to the unit.
Connecting the Interfaces
To connect the interfaces:
1. Connect the appropriate RJ-45 connectors to the ADSL, SHDSL, ETH, and
E1/T1 ports.
2. Insert the SFP modules into the 10/100/1000 BaseT ports, and then connect
the optical cables.

Lock the wire latch of each SFP module by lifting it up until it clicks into place. For

Connecting the Terminal Control
To connect the unit to a terminal:
1. Connect the standard DB-9 flat cable to the unit's 9-pin connector,
designated 'CONTROL'.
2. Connect the other side of the cable to the ASCII terminal equipment.
Connecting the Power
To connect the power:
1. Connect the power cable to the AC power connector on the
unit's front panel.
2. Connect the power cable to mains outlet.
