FAX reception
Restricts to receive a fax.
Important
• If the printer receives a fax while Restrict is selected, Not available. An operation restriction is
set. is displayed on the touch screen and the fax standby screen is displayed. In this case, you
cannot receive the faxes. Ask the administrator of the printer you are using to change the setting
and have the sender resend the faxes.
Directory
Restricts operations related to the printer's directory.
8. Tap Exit.
The operation restrictions you selected are enabled.
Note
• If you disable all restrictions, tap Cancel operation restrictions in step 6. When the confirmation
screen is displayed, tap Yes.
To disable each operation restriction, tap the item in step 7 and tap Do not restrict.
Disabling Operation Restriction Temporarily
Specify the override password to disable operation restriction temporarily following the procedure below.
1. Make sure printer is turned on.
2. Flick HOME screen and tap

3. Tap Device settings.
4. Tap Operation restrictions.
5. Enter administrator password.
6. Tap Override password setting on displayed screen.
7. Tap Yes on displayed screen.
8. Tap OK on displayed screen.
9. Specify password.
