• The product is only suitable for use in temperate, not tropical, climates.
• Remove the batteries/rechargeable batteries when you do not use the product for an extended period
(e.g. during storage).

c) Batteries/Rechargeable Batteries

• Ensure proper polarity when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• Remove the batteries/rechargeable batteries if you are not using the device for an extended period of
time to prevent damage to the device by leakage. Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries
may cause acid burns in case of skin contact. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves to handle dam-
aged batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• Always keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of the reach of children. Never let batteries/recharge-
able batteries lie around freely. They may be swallowed by children or pets.
• All batteries/rechargeable batteries should be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and new batteries/
rechargeable batteries may cause the batteries/rechargeable batteries to leak which will result in dam-
age to the device.
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; danger of explosion!
• Never mix batteries and rechargeable batteries.
• Do not disassemble any batteries/rechargeable batteries, do not short-circuit them and do not throw
them into fire. Never try charging any non-rechargeable batteries. There is a danger of explosion!
• Insert only the enclosed special rechargeable batteries (nominal voltage 1.5 V) into the outdoor sensor.
Never insert any other rechargeable batteries (e.g. NiMH/NiCd, nominal voltage 1.2 V) or even normal
batteries.
When the special rechargeable batteries are used up or defective/deep discharged, use only recharge-
able batteries of the same build for the outdoor sensor. These can be purchased as accessories, e.g., on
www.conrad.com on the respective website for the product.
• It is possible to operate the basis station with rechargeable batteries. However, the lower voltage (bat-
tery = 1.5 V, rechargeable battery = 1.2 V) causes the operating duration and display contrast to reduce
strongly. Therefore, we recommend using only high-quality alkaline batteries instead of rechargeable
batteries for the basis station.
