11. Commissioning

First take the outdoor sensor into operation and then the weather station.

a) Outdoor sensor

• Loosen the single screw of the battery compartment lid (33) and
take it off. Insert three type AA/mignon batteries with correct
polarity into the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor (ob-
serve plus/+ and minus/-, see mark next to the battery compart-
ment).
• Close the battery compartment again. Ensure that the sealing
ring is placed properly, since moisture may enter the sensor oth-
erwise.
After a battery change, you may need to start a manual search
for the outdoor sensor at the weather station (see chapter 12. c),
since the outdoor sensor will no longer be found by the weather
station otherwise.

b) Weather station

• Open the battery compartment (17) on the rear of the weather station and insert 3 type AA/mignon bat-
teries with correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
• Close the battery compartment again.
• Right after inserting the batteries into the weather station, all display segments appear briefly and a beep
is emitted.
• The display will show the first measured values (e.g. indoor temperature/humidity, barometric pressure).
If only chaotic characters are displayed, push the button "RESET" (16).
Alternatively, remove the batteries from the weather station for a few seconds and re-insert
them.
• Then the reception icon for the outdoor sensor will flash (to the left of the outdoor humidity). After no
more than 1 minute, the measured data of the outdoor sensor (e.g. outdoor temperature and outdoor
humidity) should be displayed. Do not move the weather station and outdoor sensor and do not push any
button at the weather station.
• If the weather station has recognised the outdoor sensor, the search for the DCF signal will start. The
reception signal " " to the right of the time will flash and display reception of the DCF signal.
The DCF signal search will take several minutes. Do not move the weather station during this
time and do not press any button.
Do not put the weather station next to electronic devices, metal parts, cables, etc. Bad reception
can also be expected, e.g. in case of metallised insulation glass windows, reinforced concrete
construction, coated special wallpaper or basement rooms.
