CIW Series High Fidelity In-Wall Speakers
Thank you for selecting Posh high-performance chambered in-wall loudspeakers.
Posh has gained an enviable track record providing professionals with audiophile-
quality speakers for commercial and residential installations.
Tools Needed
These instructions are for installing Posh CIW
6.5 and CIW 6 62 speakers into conventional
gypsum drywall "wallboard" such as that found
in most residential ceilings and walls. The pro-
cess is extremely easy and requires a minimum
of tools.
• PENCIL for marking around
the template
• UTILITY KNIFE or hole saw for
cutting speaker holes
• WIRE STRIPPER for preparing
speaker wires
• PHILLIPS-TYPE SCREWDRIVER
• "STUD FINDER" (optional)
Rough-in/
new construction

Position the rough-in bracket against
studs as shown in this illustration.
Make sure the bracket is level and
the flanges face out, away from the
studs (as shown in detail in drawing).
Attach the bracket to the studs us-
ing sheetrock screws or nails.

"Express" Instructions
We urge you to read through this Installa-
tion Guide carefully. However, if you're an
experienced home handyperson or just
impatient, here's the short version:
1. Select the speaker location, checking
for wall stud or ceiling rafter position
and location of electrical and plumbing
conduits.
2. Mark cut-out hole outlines with the in-
cluded cardboard template.
3. Cut holes in the wall or ceiling.
4. Run speaker wire and connect to the
chamber
5. Install the chamber assembly.
6. Secure the speaker baffle with includ-
ed screws.
7. Press on the speaker grille covers.
