KETTLE OPERATION

Ensure the Kettle is placed on a DRY and LEVEL surface.

To fill, first remove the Kettle from the power base. Open the lid by pushing
the lid release button then fill the Kettle with the desired amount of cold water.
Ensure that it covers the minimum level.
NOTE: If there is too little water the Kettle will automatically switch itself off before
the water has boiled. The water gauge will help you judge the correct amount.
CAUTION: Do not fill the water over the maximum level as water may spill
out when boiling. Ensure that the lid is firmly in place before plugging into
the power supply.

Press down the hinged lid then place the Kettle on the power base.

Plug into the power socket and switch on. Switch on by pressing down on
the On/Off switch.

When the water has boiled the Kettle will switch off automatically.

You can stop the boiling process at any time by lifting up the on/off switch
or by turning the power supply off at the socket.

To remove the Kettle grasp the handle firmly and lift vertically from the power
base. Take extra care if it is full. Ensure that the kettle switch is in the off position
before placing the kettle back onto the power base

The Kettle should sit on the power base whilst not in use.
TIPS AND TECHNIQUES
•
Ensure that the switch is free of obstructions and that the lid is firmly closed.
The Kettle will not turn off if the switch is constrained or if the lid is open.
•
Be careful when pouring water from the Kettle to prevent scalding. Never open
the lid when the water is hot.
•
If you want to boil the water again, simply turn on the switch. The Kettle will not
reboil until the switch is turned on again.
•
If the Kettle has just boiled and switched off automatically, allow it to sit for
at least 15 seconds before re-boiling.
BOIL-DRY PROTECT
Should you accidentally switch on an empty Kettle, the boil dry protection will
automatically switch off the power. If this occurs, allow the Kettle to cool down
before filling with cold water.
NOTE: Ensure the power supply is switched off when not in use.
