MEMORY CHANNEL PROTECT
There are two ways to protect memory channels from
bei ng cleared accidentally:
• Memory Protect 1: Write/delete inhibit
• Memory Protect 2: Overwrite/delete inhibit

Press the CLR or F.LOCK button to exit the Menu
Set-up mode.
If you attempt to store data in any memory
channel, the Morse code "CHECK" alarm will
sound to remind you that memory protect is on. In
addition, you cannot clear any memory channel
using the
CLR
button.

1 Press the

button for more than two
seconds to enter the Menu Set-up mode .

2 Press the A/B button to select Menu B.

3 Use the tuning control to select Menu No. 59.
Select OFF using the UP or DOWN button.

4 Use the tuning control to select Menu No. 60.
Select ON using the UP or DOWN button.
5 Press the CLR or F.LOCK button to exit the Menu
Set-up mode.
6 You can store data in an empty channel now, but
if you attempt to overwrite data in an occupied
memory channel, the Morse code "CHECK" alarm
will sound to remind you that memory protect is
on.
In addition, you cannot clear any memory channel
using the CLR button.
