the lower RJ-45 port on the Unit back panel.
Connect one end of the Communication cable[2] to
the copier interface board connector on the Unit back
panel.

2) Connect the other side of the cross Ethernet cable
[3] which is connected to the Unit in the procedure 1)
to the RJ45 connector[4] of the connected host ma-
chine.
Connect the other side of the Communication cable[1]
to the Open I/F PCB connector[2].

3) Turn the connected host machine ON.

1.2.6 To print a configura-
tion page
Print out a settings page as follows to make sure that
all settings have correctly been made on the Unit and
its host machine and that all connections are normal:
TO PRINT A CONFIGURATION PAGE
1) Ensure that the host machine is on and warmed
up.
2) Ensure that the Unit is on.
3) At the Idle screen, press the Menu button once.
4) Press the line selection button to the right of Print
Pages, and then select Configuration page.
The Unit sends the Configuration page to the host
machine and displays the RIP and Print status
screens so you can monitor the job.

1.2.7 Network connection

Network connection is the network administrator's re-
sponsibility to configure Setup according to the net-
work and user environment.
1)Shut down the Unit before connecting it to any net-
work device.
If the system has just finished processing, wait 10 sec-
onds after the system reaches the idle status before
