Issue 01 (2013-07-17)
When you are not using the phone, press the power key to turn off the screen.
Set the screen timeout period to a smaller value under Settings > Display > Screen
timeout.
Lower the screen brightness under Settings > Display > Brightness.
Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when you do not need to use them under Settings >
WIRELESS & NETWORKS > Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
Turn off data synchronization in the background: Go to Settings and touch Accounts &
sync. Turn off the synchronization.
Turn off the data service: Go to Settings. Under WIRELESS & NETWORKS, touch
More. Touch Mobile networks and clear Enable always-on mobile data.
Turn off GPS by clearing GPS satellites under Settings > Location access.
Turn off the data service when you do not need it.
Turn off the data service if your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Access Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) sites instead of World Wide Web (WWW)
websites.
Turn off data synchronization in the background: Go to Settings and touch Accounts &
sync. Turn off the synchronization.
Close background applications you do not need. Go to Settings and touch Apps. On the
RUNNING tab, touch the application you want to close, and touch Stop.
Uninstall unwanted applications to increase your phone's available storage. When
available storage is insufficient, the phone runs slowly.
If the CPU usage is high and multiple background processes are running, restart the
phone to close unwanted processes and applications.
