This receives MIDI messages that are sent from external
MIDI devices. The KR105 receiving MIDI messages can
output sounds, exchange tones and perform other
operations.
* External MIDI devices can't be used for remotely changing the
Tones played by the KR105's keyboard.
I Making the Connections
* To prevent malfunction and/or damage to speakers or other
devices, always turn down the volume, and turn off the power
on all devices before making any connections.
1.
Turn the volume all the way down on the KR105 and
on the device you're about to connect.
2.
Switch off the power to the KR105 and the device
you're about to connect.
3.
Use a MIDI cable (sold separately) to connect the MIDI
connectors to each other.
Please refer to the connection examples below.
4.
Switch on the power to the KR105 and the connected
device.
5.
Adjust the volume level on the KR105 and the
connected device.
6.
You should also set the MIDI settings as needed.
For details on the MIDI-related settings, refer to
p. 146–p. 147.

* When the KR105 is connected to a MIDI sequencer, set it to

Synchronizing with
Connected MIDI Devices
You can have connected MIDI devices played by the tempo
produced by the KR105; you can also have the tempo
produced by connected MIDI devices play the KR105. This
setting is called the "MIDI Sync."
Having connected MIDI devices work at the same tempo, and
start and stop at the same timing is called "synchronization."
1.
Switch to the Basic screen, or press the One Touch
Program [Piano] button.

Touch <Options>.

Touch <MIDI Sync>.
The following screen is appeared.

Touch <L><M> to make the setting.

Meaning
The KR105's tempo as well as the starting
and stopping of playback and recording is
controlled by the MIDI device connected to
