Playing Audio from an External Device

Connections

You can play the audio from external devices such as
TVs, CD players, and turntables with MM cartridges
through this unit. Connect as follows according to the
output jacks on the external devices you are connecting.
When using a digital optical cable, connect to the
DIGITAL IN OPTICAL terminal on this unit.
When using a digital coaxial cable, connect to the
DIGITAL IN COAXIAL terminal on this unit.
When connecting with an analog audio cable, connect
the turntable to the PHONO IN jack and other external
devices is to the LINE IN jacks on this unit.
0 If the connected turntable has a built-in audio
equalizer, connect it to the LINE IN jack.
0 If the turntable has a ground wire, connect it to the
GND terminal.
Playing Back

1. Turn the unit on.
2. Press OPTICAL, COAXIAL, LINE 1, LINE 2, or
PHONO (a) to match the terminal you have connected
the device to switch the input of this unit.

3. Start play on the player.
0 When connected by a digital optical cable or a digital
coaxial cable, this unit supports linear PCM signals of
up to 192 kHz/24 bits for input.
