This instruction manual only covers the power supply that is for the Olympus Power Supply Unit
U-RFL-T. To obtain optimum performance and to familiarize yourself fully with the use of this
power supply unit, we recommend that you also study the instruction manual for the microscope
to be used. Retain this instruction manual in an easily accessible place near the work desk for
future reference.

    U-RFL-T IMPORTANT This mercury burner power supply unit is only designed for use with Olympus mercury burner light source attachments. When using this power supply unit, always refer to the instruction manual for the AX, BX, BX2, IX, etc., reflected light fluorescence module.

    U-RFL-T 2-2 Mounting the Mercury Burner High voltage is applied to ignite the mercury burner, to prevent any hazards, conform that the main switch on the power supply unit is switched to "O" (OFF), unplug the lamp housing cord and power cord plug, and wait at least 10 minutes before proceeding with the replacement.

    U-RFL-T PREPARATION TO OBSERVATION 3-1 Igniting the Mercury Burner Never switch the main switch to "I" (ON) while the mercury burner socket connecting cord plug is not plugged in. Dangerous high voltage may be output from the output connector. Move the main switch @ on the power supply unit to "I" (ON). Between 5 to 10 minutes are required for the arc to stabilize after the burner is ignited.
