Browser

Use Browser to view web pages and search for information.

Opening the Browser

Press the Home Key > to launch the web browser. The Browser also opens when you
tap a web link—for example, in an email or a text message.
1. Open the Browser app.
2. Tap the address box at the top of the web page. If the address box isn't visible, scroll to
the top of the page to view it.
3. Enter the address (URL) of a web page, or enter terms you want to search for.
4. Tap a URL or search suggestion or tap
search results.
NOTE: Tap next to the address box if you want to stop opening the page.

Setting the Home Page

Your home page opens when you open a new browser tab, and when you open Browser
after restarting your phone.
1. Open the Browser app.
> Settings > Set homepage.
2. Tap
3. Enter the URL and tap OK to set it as the homepage.

Using Multiple Browser Windows

You can open several web pages at the same time (one page in each window) and switch
between them freely.
To open a new browser window:
at the bottom of the screen, and then tap New window. A new browser window

To switch between browser windows:
1. Tap at the bottom of the screen. The number in the icon indicates the number of
currently active browser windows.
2. Swipe vertically to scroll through the list of opened web pages.
3. Tap one you want to open.
To close browser windows:
1. Tap at the bottom of the screen.
2. Swipe a web page in the list horizontally or tap
Tap Close all > OK to close all windows.
3. To exit the Browser app, tap > Exit.
NOTE: You can simply double-tap or double-tap the Back Key to exit the Browser app.
To enable this feature, tap and check the box next to Do not prompt again.

Downloading Files

1. Tap and hold an image or a link to a file or to another web page.
2. In the menu that opens, tap Save image or Save link.
The downloaded files are saved to your phone. You can view or open them in the
Downloads app.

Using Bookmarks

Adding a Bookmark
> Add bookmark. Or, tap
1. Tap
2. Enter the title and the URL of the bookmark (this information may already be entered
automatically), and select the folder to contain the bookmark.
3. Tap Ok.
to close the browser window.
> Manage bookmarks > Add bookmark.
