START UP
Press the FUNCTION button to wake the unit from Standby and to put it in one of the following function modes.
• FM: FM or FM stereo radio mode
• AM: AM radio mode
• CD: CD player mode
• AUX: AUX input player mode
Press the FUNCTION button to cycle through all of the function modes. The current function will be shown on
the LCD screen.
To return the unit to Standby mode (OFF), press and hold the FUNCTION button.

RADIO OPERATION

1. Press the FUNCTION button to choose the radio band (FM or AM).
2. To tune to a station, press the
either button to quickly scan up or down the frequency range. When a station is found the search will stop
and lock onto the station.
3. Press the VOL– or VOL+ buttons to adjust to the desired output level.
You can store up to 20 preset radio stations per radio band.

2. When the station is selected, press the MODE button once more to store the current station to the preset
memory.
3. To tune to a preset station, press the MODE button and then press the
preset station (1-20).

TIPS FOR BEST RECEPTION

AM – The AM antenna is located inside the cabinet of the unit. If AM reception is weak, change the position of
the unit until the internal antenna picks up the strongest signal.
FM – During FM or FM Stereo reception, always keep the FM Telescopic Antenna fully extended for best
performance. However, if FM reception is weak, try repositioning the unit near an open window until you get the
best reception.
CD OPERATION
The unit is designed to play normal music CD disc bearing the correct identification logo. If the disc does not confirm to the
standard, it may not be played back properly.
Caution:
Playback of CD-R may depend on recording conditions.
Do not attach a seal or label to either side (the recordable side or the labeled side) of a CD-R disc. It may
cause malfunction.
Do not load a blank CD-R disc. It will take over 1 minute to read the disc. The disc may be damaged if you
try to open the CD Door while reading the disc.
CD-ROM, CD-I, CDV, VCD, DVD or computer CDs are not possible to be read.
