Before calling for service

Troubleshooting
Contact your dealer if the problem persists even when you have checked the following items.
AG-MX70-related problems
Problem
≥ The power can not be
switched on.
≥ There is no picture.
≥ There is no color.
≥ There is no sound.
≥ The image does not
change even when the
transition lever is moved
during mix/wipe mode.
MX-Navi-related problems
Problem
≥ A menu for title load or
playback etc. is grayed
out and operation is not
possible.
≥ Image transmission or
reading has been performed,
but the processing stopped
and the message "AG-MX70
is not ready to transfer,
Please check Power and
connection, and try again.."
is displayed.
≥ The image does not
change to DSK even
when DSK playback
operation is performed.
≥ Is the plug of the power cable inserted properly in the outlet?
≥ Has the fan stopped operating?
≥ Is the power of the VTR or other connected equipment switched on?
≥ Are the cables connected correctly?
≥ Has fade been applied?
≥ Has the source been input correctly?
≥ Is the monochrome selection switch set to ON?
≥ Is only "Y" provided as input instead of the composite signal?
≥ Has the source been input correctly?
≥ Has audio fade-out been applied?
≥ Has the source been input correctly?
≥ Has the same signal been selected for A-side and B-side?
The AG-MX70 has not been recognized by the PC. Check the following items.
≥ Is the power of the AG-MX70 switched on?
≥ Are the AG-MX70 and the PC connected correctly via a USB cable?
≥ Is the length of the USB cable less than 3 m?
When operation is still not possible even though the above items are fulfilled, it is possible that
the USB driver has not been installed successfully. Execute DrvUninstaller.exe in the
DrvUninstaller folder of the setup CD-ROM to delete the USB driver (at this time the message
"Cannot delete some files" may be displayed, but this does not present a problem), and then
install the USB driver again.
Images cannot be transmitted or captured while the "Loading..." display appears on the LCD
screen immediately after the AG-MX70's power has been turned on or immediately after
changes have been made to the image memory settings. Wait until the "Loading..." display is
cleared, and then try again.
Check that the DSK/Fade items Key and Fill in the DSK/Fade menu of the AG-MX70 are set to
