If the connections are faulty, no sound will be heard from the speakers, and if the polarity of the speaker connections is incorrect, the sound will be unnatural and lack bass.

    OPERATION PLAYING AND RECORDING Playing a source Play the selected input source. Rotate the VOLUME control on the front SPEAKERS VOLUME panel (or press VOLUME +/– buttons on the remote control) to adjust the sound output level. You can adjust the tonal quality by using the BASS, TREBLE, BALANCE and LOUDNESS controls, or the PURE DIRECT switch on the front panel.
