6. Remove the Security Lock.
Remove the screw.
7. Remove the screws (9)*
* Only for FZ-Y1CH/FZ-Y1CG series.

The FZ-Y1CA series has 10 screws. Be sure to
remove the screw at (A).
8. Lift the upper-right side of the cover slightly, and release
the bottom tabs (B). Then, open the cover from the right
side.

The left side of the cover is connected to the computer
with the cord. Do not pull the cord.
9. Disconnect the connector (C).
Insulate the connectors on the built-in battery by covering
them with plastic tape, for example.
10. Remove the screws (4) that secures the built-in battery (D),
and remove the built-in battery.
Lift up the Security Lock
cover, and remove it.
