3.1 Overview

Before you perform your first blood test, ensure the Accu-Chek Aviva Expert Meter is set up correctly and
that you perform a control test. You need a coded meter, a test strip, and a lancing device.

• Do not change your treatment because of one blood glucose test result.
• NEVER ignore symptoms of high or low blood glucose.

NOTE:
• If you need to perform a control test, only use Accu-Chek Aviva Control Solutions. See the Standard
Owner's Booklet for more information about control testing.
• For more information on blood glucose testing, see the Standard Owner's Booklet.
• Blood glucose and bG are interchangeable and mean the same thing.
