2. Close any applications you may have running. 3. Insert the Memorex ThumbDrive installation CD into your CD-ROM drive. The driver installation procedure is automatic, as a dialogue box will pop up (Figure 1) to give you the option to install the drivers.

Bring your computer screen to the desktop view and double click on “My Computer.” The Memorex ThumbDrive should appear as a “Removable Disk” icon (as in Drive E in Figure 4 below.) The actual drive letter assigned to your ThumbDrive may vary.
The Memorex ThumbDrive includes a switch that will prevent any data writing or accidental erasure of critical files. At the end of the ThumbDrive there is a little switch that can be moved to the left, under the icon of a padlock, to prevent adding or eliminating any data.
Plug the computer and it’s peripherals into a different branch circuit from that used by the affected device. Memorex ThumbDrive, is a registered trademark of Memorex Products, Inc..
