How to set focus when recording a motion picture ([Continuous AF])

Applicable modes:
Focusing changes depending on the Focus Mode setting (P36) and the [Continuous AF]
setting in the [Motion Picture] menu.
[Focus Mode]
[AFS]/[AFF]/
[AFC]
[MF]
When the focus mode is set to [AFS], [AFF] or [AFC], if you press the shutter button halfway
while recording a motion picture, the camera will re-adjust the focus.
Recording motion pictures with manually set
aperture value/shutter speed
Recording Mode:
It is possible to manually change the aperture and shutter speed and record motion
pictures.

Set the mode dial to [

Select the menu. (P28)

Press 3/4 to select [P], [A], [S] or [M], and then press [MENU/SET].
The operation for changing the aperture value or shutter speed is the same as the
operation for setting the mode dial to

Start recording.
Press the motion picture button or the shutter button to start recording a motion picture.
(Still pictures cannot be taken.)

Stop recording.
Press the motion picture button or the shutter button to stop recording a motion picture.
