• If the an error or warning message appears, resolve the problem and then run "Auto Setup" again.
• Warning message "W-2" or "W-3" indicates that the adjusted settings may not be optimal.
• Depending on the speakers, warning message "W-1" may appears even if the speaker connections are correct.
• If error message "E-10" occurs repeatedly, contact a qualified Yamaha service center.

Cause
Your USB storage device is connected.
Your USB storage device has been
disconnected from the USB port of this
unit.
This unit recognizes the USB storage
device as an illegal device.
This unit cannot access your USB storage
device.
There is a problem with the signal path
from your USB storage device to this unit.
The data is invalid.
Cause
Optimizer microphone is not connected.
Headphones are connected.
The parameters of this unit are protected.
Cause
Front L/R channel signals are not
detected.
Only a signal from one of the surround
channels are detected.
Only signals from one of the presence L/
R channels are detected.
Only right surround back channel signal
is detected.
Measurement cannot be performed
accurately due to loud ambient noise.
Surround back speakers are connected,
though surround L/R speakers are not.
Remedy
Check the connection between this unit and your
USB storage device.
Turn this unit off and then turn on again.
Try another USB storage device.
Turn off this unit and reconnect your USB storage
device to the USB port of this unit.
Try resetting your USB storage device.
Try another USB storage device.
Remedy
Connect the supplied optimizer microphone to the
OPTIMIZER MIC jack on the front panel.
Unplug the headphones.
Set "Memory Guard" to "Off".
Remedy
Check the front L/R speaker connections.
Check the surround L/R speaker connections.
Check the presence L/R speaker connections.
If you connect only one surround back speaker,
connect it to the left SUR.BACK (SINGLE) jack.
Try running "Auto Setup" in a quiet environment.
Turn off noisy electric equipment like air
conditioners or move them away from the optimizer
microphone.
When using surround back speakers, you need to
connect surround L/R speakers.
