How to adjust the tension? When I walk on it, the belt wants to slip on the roller. I have an older model. It’s the Proform 530.

To adjust the tension on a ProForm 530 treadmill to prevent the belt from slipping:

1. Unplug the power cord for safety.
2. Use the included Allen wrench to turn both rear roller adjustment bolts counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn.
3. Check the belt tension by lifting each side of the walking belt. It should lift 5 to 7 cm off the walking platform, with the center just touching the platform.
4. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes.
5. Repeat the adjustment if necessary until the belt is properly tightened.
6. If the belt still slips, contact the Customer Service Department.
