Fuel-reserve warning light
lights up.

A fuel shortage can cause
irregular engine operation
or engine shut-off (accident haz-
ard) and the catalytic converter
can be damaged.
Do not drive to the extent that
the fuel tank is completely
z empty.
Possible cause:
At the most, the fuel tank still
contains the reserve fuel quantity.
Reserve fuel quantity
Approx. 1.1 gal (Approx. 4 l)
Refueling ( 50).
Coolant temperature too
high
Coolant-temperature warn-
ing light lights up.
Driving with an overheated
engine can result in engine
damage.
Be sure to observe the measures
listed below.

Radiator fan defective.
If the radiator fan fails to run with
the coolant-temperature warning

Have the malfunction corrected

Cooling is insufficient.
If possible, continue driving
in the part-load range to cool
down the engine.
In traffic jams, switch off the
engine, but keep the ignition
switched on so that the radia-
tor fan continues to operate.
