Scenes/still pictures can be protected so that they are not deleted by mistake.
(Even if you protect some scenes/still pictures on an SD card or HDD, formatting the SD card or
HDD will delete them.)
¬ Rotate the mode dial to select

Select the menu. (l 29)
[VIDEO SETUP] or [PICT. SETUP]#
[SCENE PROTECT] # [YES]

Select the scene/still picture to
be protected and then press the
cursor button.
The [ ] indication appears and the scene/still
picture is protected.
≥ Press the cursor button again to cancel the
setting.
≥ 2 or more scenes/still pictures can be set in
succession.
≥ Press the MENU button to complete the
settings.
≥ When play mode is set to [INTEL. SCENE]
while playing back motion pictures, scenes
cannot be protected.
