Lifting and stowing

Troubleshooting

When activated upwards the lifting strop
runs downwards instead, and when
activated downwards it runs upwards .......
The lifter lifts/lowers slowly or jerks,
power is low ..............................................................
The lift arm motor continues to run
after you have released the button or
the button sticks when pressed .....................
The lifter has been run down too far and the lifting strop has twisted in the opposite
direction around the reel. Run the lifter down as far as possible and then up again
until the strop winds the right way.
A / The motor does not receive sufficient current due to loose electrical connectors.
Check that the electrical outlets on the lifter are secured and not salt oxidised (can
occur in areas where the roads are salted heavily or in coastal areas).
B / Poor car battery. Check the car's battery. Clean the battery poles and cable
clamps using a special wire brush. When the poles have been restored, spray with a
rust inhibitor.
C /Damaged lift motor. Replace the motor.
Worn keypad. Avoid water penetrating the controller. Replace the controller.
