Starting up the barbecue

Caution:
6. Push down the first left control knob and keep pressing
whilst turning anti-clockwise to position (B) and press the
igniter button up to four times in rapid succession.
7. When reached position (B),the burner will be ignited.
8. If the burner has not lit after two attempts, turn'OFF'
the gas tap and wait 5 minutes before retrying the ignition
sequence.
9. When the burner has lit, the burner rate can be adjusted by
push down and turn the knob anti-clockwise to any position
between the full and low rate position.
10. Light the remaining burners from left to right in sequence
following the same procedure as above (step 4 to step 6).
11. NEVER ATTEMPT TO LIGHT A BURNER THAT DOES NOT HAVE
A LIT BURNER DIRECTLY ADJACENT TO IT. THIS COULD CAUSE
A HAZARDOUS SITUATION.
12. Close the lid and allow the barbecue to heat up at full power.
The first time you use the barbecue, heat for about 20 minutes
without food so that the food-safe coating is hardened (as
with any barbecue).
13. When the barbecue is heated, turn the flame regulator to
the sealed setting (size of flame).
14. You can now place the food on the grill rack. We recommend
that you wear barbecue gloves or other gloves to protect
you from the heat.

In the event of a gas leak; always turn off the gas supply.

Switching on the side burner:

1. Open the side burner lid before lighting the side burner and
turn the side burner control knob to the 'OFF' position.
2. Push down the side burner control knob and keep pressing
whilst turning anti-clockwise to the "Full rate" position and
press the igniter button up to four times in rapid succession,
this will light the burner. If the burner does not light, repeat
this process.
3. If the burner has not lit after two attempts, turn off the gas tap,
wait 5 minutes and then repeat step 3 in main burner lighting
instructions.
4. When the burner has lit, the burner rate can be adjusted by
push down and turn the knob anti-clockwise to any position
between the full and low rate position.
5. To turn the barbecue 'OFF' turn the cylinder valve or
regulator switch to the 'OFF'position and then turn all of
the control knobs on the appliance clockwise to the 'OFF'
position when the flame have extinguished.

Switching off the barbecue:

End of cooking session

After each cooking session, turn the barbecue control knob
burners to the "Max" position and burn for 5 minutes.
This procedure will burn off cooking residue, thus making
cleaning easier. Make sure the hood is open during this process.
When you have finished using your barbecue, turn all the
control valves fully clockwise to the "OFF" position, then switch
off the gas at the bottle. Wait until the barbecue is sufficiently
cool before closing its hood.
