Headlight

Adjusting headlight for
RHD/LHD traffic
If the motorcycle is ridden in a
country where vehicles are driven
in the opposite lane relative to
your own country, its asymmetric
low-beam headlight will tend to
blind oncoming traffic.
Have the headlight adjusted for
these conditions by an authorized
service facility, preferably an au-
thorized BMW Motorrad retailer.
Headlight range and
spring preload
The headlight range generally
remains constant due to the ad-
justment of the spring preload to
the loading state.
Spring preload adjustment may
only be insufficient when the mo-
torcycle is very heavily loaded.
In this case, the headlight range
must be adjusted to the weight.
NOTICE
If there are doubts as to the cor-
rect headlight range, have the
adjustment checked by a spe-
cialized workshop, preferably by
an authorized BMW Motorrad
retailer.
