    Description The V5900MUX Digital Color Multiplexer provides on-screen display of nine camera inputs combined with numerous additional functions. The image display is updated at the field rate of 60 field/sec. In addition to multi- screen displays or playback on a single monitor, multiplex recording on a VCR of up to 9 camera images is made possible with this duplex multiplexer as well.

    Programming Functions All programming is done with the front panel keys. There are twenty keys on the front panel. The keys named MENU, FREEZE/+, ZOOM/-, △ , SPOT/▽ , SEQ/◁ , CHANGE/▷ , and SHIFT/ENTER are used in programming unit. The TITLE, VCR, and ALARM keys are not used in programming the unit. Functions of each key on the front panel are described in Table 1.

    Alphabet (26 letters), Number (0~9), Special Characters ([.],[,],[:],[+],[-],[*],[/],[(],[)],[?],[ ]) Press the MENU key to exit the menu. Note: To retain all titling (camera and alarm), the tape must be played back on the same V5900MUX it was recorded on. Dwell Time Setup This menu allows you to adjust the dwell times of the 9 camera video displays.

    Press the ◁ and ▷ key to toggle between ON/OFF and POLARITY. Press the (+) and (-) keys to toggle NO or NC and ON or OFF. Press MENU key to exit screen. 5.4.3 VD Loss Alarm Setup The VIDEO LOSS ALARM function enables you to define if an alarm is generated when any of the video inputs is lost/defective.

    Press the (+) and (-) key to toggle HIGH or LOW. Press MENU key to exit screen. Note: The TRIG OUT is tied to the VCR alarm input. The signals (HIGH or LOW) must match the signals on the equipment (i.e., VCR) it is hooked up to. Record Setup Helpful Hints Following are some guideline to follow when programming the multiplexer for Record Setup.

    Press (+) and (-) keys to toggle the options. The options are: NO CHANGE: Alarm recording remain as set in REC MODE (Time Lapse or Real Time). EXCLUSIVE: Only alarmed camera records. INTERLEAVE: Alarmed camera is interleaved into the pattern more often. Press MENU key to exit screen.

    To enable a password, select “ENABLE”. Select NEW PASSWORD and press the ENTER key. Confirm password. Press MENU to exit programming screen. If the Password is forgotten, turn the unit off, press and hold TITLE key and turn the unit on again; the unit will now have factory default settings.

    7.1 Computer Remote Control The V5900MUX uses a very simple command set, each command consisting of three characters. The first character in all cases is the slash or virgule(/). The unit looks only for a three-character command, with an initial slash.
