Refrigerant Piping Work
1.
Installing outdoor unit
•
When installing the outdoor unit, refer to precautions for selecting the location and the indoor/outdoor unit and water heater installation drawings.
•
If drain work is necessary, follow the procedures below.
2.
Drain work
•
Use "Drain socket assy" (option) for drainage.
•
If the drain port is covered by a mounting base or fl oor surface, place additional foot bases of at least 100mm in height under the outdoor unit's feet.
•
In cold areas, do not use a drain hose with the outdoor unit. (Otherwise, drain water may freeze, impairing heating performance.)
1.
Insert (C) drain receiver onto
(A) drain socket and (B) drain cap
beyond 4 projections around drain
socket and drain cap.
2.
Insert drain socket and drain caps
into their matching drain hole ;
(A) drain socket into drain hole Ι
and (B) drain caps into drain hole
ΙΙ and ΙΙΙ . After insertion, turn
them about 40° clockwise.
NOTE
•
Check that the (C) drain receiver is correctly engaged with the
projections of the (A) drain socket and (B) drain cap. Otherwise,
water leakage may result.
3.
Connect vinyl hose on the market (internal diameter of 25mm) to (A) drain socket.
(If the house is too long and hangs down, fi x it carefully to prevent the kinks.)
4.
Make sure that there is no water leakage from portion
NOTE
•
If the drain holes of the outdoor unit are covered with the mounting bracket or the fl oor, raise the unit to provide the space of
more than 100mm under the leg of the outdoor unit.
3.

CAUTION
•
Use the fl are nut fi xed to the main unit. (To prevent cracking of the fl are nut by aged deterioration.)
•
To prevent gas leakage, apply refrigeration oil only to the inner surface of the fl are. (Use refrigeration oil for R410A.)
•
Use torque wrenches when tightening the fl are nuts to prevent damage to the fl are nuts and gas leakage.
Align the centres of both fl ares and tighten the fl are nuts 3 or 4 turns by hand. Then tighten them fully with the torque wrenches.
Do not apply refrigeration
oil to the outer surface.
