CHAPTER 3. Router Installation
Dual DC with PoE Power supplies are recommended for power supply
redundancy and/or if LMP-20 network modules are installed and all ports
need to remotely power IEEE 802.3af Class 0 devices.
Samsung recommends that you use two different circuits to connect each
power supply.
Applying Power
Before applying power to an iBG3026 router, make sure that the appropriate
procedures have been completed, and that an operator console has been
connected to the router.
To apply power to the iBG3026:
1.
Ensure that the iBG3026 is connected to a power source.
2.
Press the rocker switch on the iBG3026 back panel to the on position ( | ).
The fans start, the LEDs cycle, and the router performs a self test. At the
successful conclusion of the self-test sequence the Power LED illuminates
green. Other status LEDs will be in various states.
This is a normal condition when the router is not configured for specific
network line conditions.
The login prompt is displayed on the console screen.
