CHAPTER 2. Pre-Installation Requirements
Power Requirements
The iBG3026 router provides three kinds of power, they are the AC power, AC
with PoE power, and DC with PoE power. Also, three kinds of power can be
mounted to the two Power module, and any combination of mounting is
possible.
In addition, up to two -48 V (nominal) external DC power supplies may be
connected to the rear panel of these iBG3026.
For NEBS compliance, these routers must be connected to DC power through
an external circuit breaker. Proper grounding must be provided to avoid
damage from power surges.

Grounding wires are required to be connected to the safety ground
stud when DC power is supplied from external power supplies.
As a general safety precaution, be sure to provide DC power through
a circuit breaker on the equipment rack.
