The door will not open

Problem
The door cannot be
pulled open during a
programme.
Comfort cooling
appears in the display
after a programme has
been cancelled.
The door will not open
after the Steam care or
Freshen up programme
has finished.
The following appears
in the display:

Door lock faulty. Call Ser-
vice.
Cause and remedy
The drum is locked during a programme.
 Touch the Start/Stop sensor.
 Select the
Cancel programme
The door will unlock and you will be able to pull it
open.
There is still water in the drum and the machine is un-
able to drain.
 Clean the drain filters and the drain pumps as de-
scribed in "Opening the door in the event of a
blocked drain outlet and/or power failure".
The water level in the drum is too high.
 Cancel the programme. The water will be pumped
away.
For safety reasons the drum door cannot be opened if
the suds temperature is higher than 55°C.
 Wait until the temperature in the drum has de-
creased and the message has gone out in the dis-
play.
The Steam care or Freshen up programme has been
started several times one after the other. The steam
has caused the temperature in the drum to rise above
55°C and the door is locked to prevent the risk of
burning.
 Wait a few minutes until the temperature in the
drum has decreased.
The door lock has jammed.
 Call the Service Department.
