Is there a pre-filter somewhere on the model 121 that also needs to be changed? Or just the main filter?

The Blue Pure 121 model has two washable pre-filters that do not need to be changed but can be cleaned, while the main particle and carbon filter should be replaced every 6 months depending on usage.

The white speed indicator light is OUT. I tried holding the button and unplugging the unit to no avail. The unit works but no light.

Try the following steps to fix the white speed indicator light on the Blue PURE 121 if it is not working:

1. Ensure the Unit is Plugged In – Make sure the air purifier is properly connected to a working power outlet.
2. Turn the Unit On – Touch the Blue® button once to turn on the purifier and activate the low-speed setting.
3. Check for Filter Issues – If the indicator light is yellow or red, acknowledge the filter replacement message by touching the button for 5 seconds or replace the filter if needed.
4. Try Changing Speeds – Touch the button multiple times to cycle through speed settings and check if the light responds.
5. Inspect for Damage – If the unit has a damaged power cord or plug, do not use it and contact an authorized service center for assistance.

If the issue persists, the unit may need professional servicing.

My Pure Blue 121 has started a squeaking sound when running. Previously it was a quiet humming sound. Is this normal?

The Blue Pure 121 is designed to be ultra-quiet during operation. If it is making a squeaking sound instead of a quiet humming sound, this may indicate an issue, such as a mechanical problem or improper assembly. Checking for loose parts, ensuring the filter is properly installed, and verifying that the unit is placed on a stable surface may help resolve the noise.
