• Do not use the appliance to suction water or other liquids, in
particular liquid carpet cleaning agents.
• Never immerse the appliance, hose or electric brush in water or
other liquids and keep it away from rain and moisture. Do not
operate the appliance outdoors or in rooms with a high level of
humidity.
• Check the power cord and the hose for any damage before use.
Do not use the appliance if it has fallen, shows signs of damage,
has been immersed in water or left outdoors.
• Never touch the plug with wet hands. Do not operate the appli-
ance with wet hands.
• Never pull or carry the appliance by the power cord.
• Make sure that the power cord is not kinked, pinched, run over
and that it does not come into contact with heat sources. Al-
ways take hold of the plug itself when you pull the plug from the
mains socket.
• Never connect the appliance to an incorrect voltage. This will
cause material damage and may even also injuries. The correct
voltage is indicated on the type plate on the underside of the ap-
pliance.
