SURROUND/REAR SPEAKERS (Figs. 3a – 3c)
To experience the full multichannel music and home theater experience, Paradigm always recommends the
use of surround/rear speakers. In the case of the Millenia
works exceptionally well in the role of a direct-radiating surround/rear speaker. Use Figs. 3a to 3c as a
guide for positioning.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS FOR SURROUND/REAR SPEAKERS
For those who prefer, there are additional in-wall and on-wall options in the Paradigm
for surround/rear speakers, including Paradigm
for more information.)

INSTALLATION INTO EXISTING WALLS

Ensure there are no obstructions (i.e. pipes, electrical wires) behind speaker
when determining speaker placement.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Installing Millenia
configuration in a typical stud wall (16˝ on center) necessitates cutting into
the stud bay (Fig. 5). Please contact a qualified installer.
Turn your receiver/amplifier OFF before connecting speakers. This will avoid
damage which could result from accidental shorting of speaker cable.
Use cable that is rated for in-wall use:
• The UL standard is CL2, CL3 and CM
• The CSA standard is FT4
For optimal sound reproduction the use of high-quality speaker cable is essential. (See your Dealer for
more information.)
Mounting
Place the mounting template onto the wall. Cut a hole as indicated on the template (Fig. 4a).
Refer to the Pictorial, Figs. 4a – 4f and Fig. 5 at the beginning of this manual for step-by-step instructions
for installing your speaker.
