Adjusting the PTO Drive Belt
Idler Spring Anchor
The position of the PTO idler can be adjusted to
increase or decrease belt tension.
Use Figure 66 for the idler position options.
1. PTO drive belt idler pulley

Replacing the Pump Drive Belt

Service Interval: Every 50 hours—Check the pump
drive belt.
1. Disengage the PTO and set the parking brake.
2. Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for all
moving parts to stop before leaving the operating
position.
3. Remove PTO drive belt. Refer to Replacing the
PTO Drive Belt in theBelt Maintenance , page 45.
4. Raise the machine and support it with jack stands.
5. Disconnect the clutch wire connector from the wire
harness.
6. Disconnect the clutch retainer from the engine deck
(Figure 67).
