Regardless of the preset outlet temperature setting of the water heater.

874 series
872 series
Regardless of the preset outlet temperature setting of the water heater.
If controllers are not installed, the water heater defaults to the factory preset outlet temperature setting in the
first instance. This may be changed by the installer up to:

872 series
"How Hot Should The Water Be?"
Refer to
If a building is fitted with a temperature limiting device such as a tempering valve and an 874 or 872 series
water heater is installed without a separate untempered hot water line to the kitchen, laundry or other non-
ablution area. The Kitchen controller will be able to display temperatures up to 55°C, the water leaving the
water heater will be at the preset temperature.
However, the maximum water temperature which can be delivered to the hot water outlets in these locations
is determined by the preset temperature setting of the temperature limiting device. If fitted, this is usually
55°C, however the temperature setting of the temperature limiting device will determine the outlet
temperature.
To enable the delivery of water temperatures above 55°C (e.g. when used as a Solar Booster) no controllers
can be fitted to either the 874 or 872 series. The water heater preset temperature will need to be increased
by the installer or a suitably qualified person. To supply water above 55°C to the kitchen, laundry or other
non-ablution area, a separate untempered supply must be installed from the water heater to the hot water
outlets in these locations.
