Turn the camera off.
• Cleaning the camera

Close the lens barrier to turn the camera off.
Make sure that the monitor is turned off.
Remove the batteries (_'¢ P.15). (If you are using an AC
adapter, unplug the AC adapter from the camera first
before removing the plug from the AC outlet,)
Exterior:
Wipe gent+y with a soft cloth. If tile camera is very dirty, soak tile cloth
in mild soapy water and wring well. Wipe the camera with the damp
cloth and then dry it with a dry cloth If you have used the camera at
the beach, use a cloth soaked in clean water and welt wrung.
Monitor and viewfinder:
Wipe geatiy with a soft cloth.
Lens:
Blow dust off the lens with a commercially available blower, and wipe
gently with a lens cleaning paper
Card:
Wipe gentiy with a soft, dry cloth
• Do not use strong solvents such as benzene or alcohol, or chemica+ly
_> treated cloth.
Note • Cleaning should be done only after the batteries have been removed or
the AC adapter has been disconnected.
• Mold may form on the lens surface if the lens is left dirty.
