11. Apply clean oil to the new sealing O‑rings.
12. Install the new oil filter element into the filter housing.
IMPORTANT: When installing the oil filter element, ensure the pin on the lower end of the filter element is aligned with the
hole in the housing.
13. Install the cover onto the filter element. Tighten the cover to the specified torque.

14. Contain and dispose of the oil or oil waste as directed by local authorities.
15. Install the crankcase oil drain hose fitting plug when the crankcase is empty. Secure the drain hose on the engine as
shown.

16. Install the engine oil dipstick.
17. Remove the oil fill cap and add the required amount of oil to the engine. Refer to Filling.
IMPORTANT: When adding oil to the engine, always use the dipstick to determine how much oil is required.
18. Start the engine and check for leaks.
