Eliminating minor faults yourself

Before you call customer service:
Please check whether you can eliminate the fault yourself based on the following
information.
Customer service will charge you for advice, even if the appliance is still under
guarantee!
Fault
Light does not function.
The temperature in the
refrigerator compartment is
too cold.
Displays do not illuminate.
The temperature in the
freezer compartment p
became too warm. b t

Possible cause
The bulb is defective.
Light switch is sticking. Fig. 2/6 Check whether it can be moved.
Colder freezer compartment
temperatures can also give rise
to colder fridge compartment
temperatures. This is quite
normal.
Power failure; the fuse has been
switched off; the mains plug has
not been inserted properly.
S Freezer compartment door is
open.
S The ventilation openings are
blocked.
S Too much food was placed in
the freezer compartment at
once.
Remedial action
Change the bulb: Fig. e
1. Pull out the mains plug or
disconnect the fuse.
2. Change the bulb
(replacement bulb max. 15 W,
220-240 V, AC,E14
lampholder)
Increase the refrigerator
compartment temperature slightly.
If this is insufficient, e.g. at
excessively cold ambient
temperatures, also increase the
freezer compartment temperature.
Check whether the power is on, the
fuse must be switched on.
Close the door.
Ensure that there is adequate
ventilation.
Do not exceed max. freezing
capacity.
