Troubleshooting schedule

WARNING! If service operations or trouble shooting does not require the machine to be on, the

engine should be switched off, and the stop switch in STOP position.
Problem
The machine does not start
The chain does not rotate while
throttling up
Vibration levels are too high
Poor cutting speed
Premature chain stretch.
Temperature of the machine is too high
Diamond chain snaps or jumps of

TROUBLESHOOTING

Probable cause
The incoming power cable is not live
The emergency stop button on the
power pack is activated
Chain tension too tight. Diamond
chain should always be able to be
pulled around the guidebar by hand.
It is normal for the diamond chain
links to hang below the guidebar.
Diamond chain fitted incorrectly
Diamond chain fitted incorrectly
Diamond chain defective
Vibration damping elements

Diamonds may be glazed or too low
feed pressure.
Not enough water pressure.
Insufficient water supply may result in
excessive wear to the diamond chain,
which can lead to loss of strenght and
diamond chain breakage.
Improper chain tension
Inserting saw into slot narrower than
diamond chain segments.
Not enough feed pressure while
cutting.
Potential Solution
Check that incoming power is turned
on
Check that the emergency stop button
on the power pack is not pressed in by
turning the emergency stop button
clockwise.
Adjust the chain tension, see
instructions in the section "Assembling
and adjustments".
Make sure the diamond chain is
properly installed.
Check that the guide bar and diamond
chain is fitted correctly and does not
show signs of damage. See the
instructions in the sections "Diamond
chains" and "Maintenance".
Change the diamond chain and make
sure it is intact.
Contact your service agent.
Cut in a soft abrasive material such as
sandstone or brick, for a short while.
Increase the water pressure.
Adjust the chain tension, see
instructions in the section "Assembling
and adjustments".
