Manually steer the boat to open waters. Start
the GPS navigating to a waypoint, either a
waypoint on a route or a single waypoint.

Engaging and disengaging the autopilot in GPS mode

To engage AUTO,
press
AUTO:
The Pilot steers the boat automatically.
When the NS3300 Pilot is engaged, if the XTE is more than 0.05 nm or the boat heading is not within
30° of BRG then the NS3300 Pilot displays a warning:

to return to Compass mode or press
When the NS3300 Pilot is engaged, it uses data from the GPS to steer the boat along the plotted course to
the waypoint.
To disengage the Pilot, press
GPS plotted course
to a waypoint
XTE (distance to
GPS course)
to have the NS3300 Pilot steer the boat to the course.
The Pilot returns to STBY (standby). Steer the boat manually.
BRG (direction
of GPS course)
To engage HAND STEER,
hold
HANDSTEER:
GPS
plotted
course
Steer the boat manually. Display CTS in the info data or
course error in the bar data and use these to steer by.
