CLEANING HARD FLOORS

CAUTION
!
To reduce the risk of injury from moving parts,
unplug cleaner.
Read "before using the machine" instructions.
1. Make sure you have the correct brushes on the
machine. For hard floors these are the dark
bristled hard scrub brushes. To change brushes
follow instructions at the end of section 2.
2. Attach the hard floor squeegee as shown in fig.
3.5
3. Fill clean water tank and detergent tank as
instructed in section 2.
4. Set wash High/Normal setting knob to the
normal position (fig 3.1).
5. Turn switch on in the "Carpet/Hard Floor"
position. The brushes will start turning, and the
vacuum motor will start.
6. While depressing the solution button at the top
of the handle pull the machine on a straight line
backwards slowly and steadily. You should see
the dirty water flowing into the dirty water tank (if
you do not see it, turn machine off and refer to the
troubleshooting section at the end of this
manual). This machine is designed to clean in
one pass. You may have to repeat if the floor is
heavily soiled. Release the solution button 8 to 10
inches before the end of the pass.
7. Push the machine forward to start another
pass and repeat step 5. Consecutive passes
should overlap about 1" (Fig 3.2). Repeat until
you covered the entire area.
8. When the clean water tank is empty, the sound
of the pump will change and dirty water will stop
flowing into the dirty water tank. Turn machine off,
empty dirty water tank and refill clean water tank
and detergent tank as per section 2 in this
manual.
9. Make a "dry pass" over the area to extract the
most amount of moisture from the floor. To only
extract moisture, do not press down on the
Solution button when passing the Cleaner over
the just-cleaned area.
10. When cleaning is complete, turn machine off.
Empty the clean water tank, and empty and clean
dirty water tank as instructed in section 2.
Remove and rinse brushes.
