Viewing Multiple Images: Thumbnail Playback

Rotate the zoom control to f (h) in full-frame
playback mode (A 70) to display images in "contact
sheets" of thumbnail images (except in list by date
mode).
The following operations are available while thumbnails are displayed.

Press the multi selector H, I, J, or K.
Rotate the zoom control to f (h) to
increase the number of image thumbnails
displayed: 4 ➝ 9 ➝ 16. Rotate the zoom
control to f (h) in the 16-image

thumbnail display to apply the calendar
display (A 74), and images can be found
by the date on which they were captured.
Rotate the zoom control to g (i) to return
to thumbnail display.
Rotate the zoom control to g (i) to decrease
the number of image thumbnails displayed:
g (i)
16 ➝ 9 ➝ 4. Rotate the zoom control to
g (i) in 4-image thumbnail display to return
to full-frame playback mode.
Select a deletion method and delete images.

When using auto sort mode (A 78), images
with the same category can be deleted.
k
Press the k button.
A
Press the A button or the shutter-release
button. Pressing the b (movie-record)
button will also return the camera to
shooting mode.
