1.0 Regulatory information

Jøtul FS 162 - 370 is a freestanding product, which can be
positioned against inflammable walls at the distances described
in Fig. 1A.
The installation of a fireplace must take place in accordance with
each country's laws and regulations.
All local ordinances must also be complied with when products
are installed.
Installation instructions for the stove accompany the surround.
Installation and operating instructions for the fireplace insert
accompany the insert. For day-to-day use, maintenance, service
work, etc. see the General use and maintenance instructions.

The installation can only be taken into use after it has
been inspected and found to be in good order by qualified
personnel.
The product has been tested and documented as a freestanding
stove in accordance with EN 13240.
The rating plate for the freestanding product comes with the
installation instructions for the surround. It should be positioned
in a suitably visible place.

"Intermittent combustion" here means normal use of a stove.
That is to say, if you want to continue producing heat, you add
more fuel as soon as the previous load of wood has burnt down
to embers.
The product is fitted with a vent which must be open during
normal heat production to ensure an adequate supply of air. The
vent may be closed after the fire has burned down and the stove
will continue to radiate heat for many hours.
