Overview of the functions in the phone

The Nokia 8310 phone provides many functions which are very handy for daily use, such as Calendar,
Clock, Alarm clock, Countdown timer, Calculator, Games, and many more.

GPRS (General Packet Radio Service)

GPRS is a technology that allows mobile phones to be used for sending and receiving data over the
mobile network. GPRS as such is a data bearer that enables wireless access to data networks like the
Internet. The applications that use GPRS are WAP, SMS messaging and the GPRS dial-up (for example,
Internet and e-mail).
Before you can use GPRS technology
• You need to subscribe to the GPRS service.
For availability and subscription to GPRS service, contact your network operator or service provider.
• You need to save the GPRS settings for each of the applications used over GPRS.
